Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had as wonderful of a holiday as I did.

1. My parents and my family
2. Catching up with old friends over the holidays
3. Having a job that I truly enjoy (in this economy, I'm just thankful for a job!)
4. My brand new washer and dryer (You know you're growing up when the w&d makes the list.)
5. My iPhone encased in a fabulous pink cover :)
6. Having a warm, cozy home to call my own
7. My growing collection of hobnail milkglass
8. DVR (why did I wait for so long to get this and how did I ever live without?)
9. Change we can believe in

My Little Piece of Heaven

So, here are some pictures...okay, a lot of pictures of my humble abode! Keep in mind, all homes are works in progress...

New Apartment

Apologies for the delay in blog service...(over two months, but who's counting?). But we are up and running again.

As my title indicates, I have a new apartment! And this of course equals lots of new blog pictures to post. When conducting my apartment search, I was determined to find one that did not, in fact, feel like an apartment. And folks, we have a winner! I grew up in older homes with a 12 foot ceiling and four walls encasing each room. I just can't seem to get used to the idea of having a vaulted ceiling and great rooms with walls that never end. I need to have the four walls and a ceiling effect. I'm a left brain, what can I say? I like being in the box rather than out. Perhaps this will change, but for now, I'm just decorating this little box of mine!
