Sights from Savannah

This past week, I visited Savannah, Georgia. And get this, it was part of my job! We have an event there this October, so we had to conduct our site visit. Oh, what a simply awful assignment!! How did I ever make it through? Brian, the Events Director, and I had so much fun, even if it was a business trip! I took several, several pictures...

The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa (phew, what a name). Gorgeous river front, 4-star luxury hotel, which will be our event location in October.

Our first night there, we had to eat at The Lady & Sons. What would a trip be to Savannah without this stop? I highly recommend the chicken pot pie. This is Brian just outside the restaurant.

While I very much enjoyed my shrimp & grits, I wish I had listened to Brian and split his chicken pot pie. This was not your mama's pot pie. It was delish!

Savannah had an endless supply of cute shops and boutiques. This was a children's store called Cherub. I loved the pink and brown striped awning with the blue bike sitting outside. Talk about curb appeal!

The next night, Brian and I ate at the lovely Olde Pink House, which is literally a historic pink home located in downtown. If only it had been lighter outside to do it justice.

A beautiful ribbon display in a store called At Home. Loved this store for its Anthropologie-esque aesthetic and vintage pieces!

My House was a store with an eclectic mix of consignment furniture, antiques and new items. If only I could pack this in my suitcase. Aren't the ball feet simply fabulous?

Cobblestone Lane Antique Mall was heaven. As I rounded the corner and saw this, I couldn't believe my eyes. Never have I seen such an extensive collection of white hobnail Fenton milkglass. I must have done something gooooddd.

For example, this piece- have you ever seen this? I haven't in all my 10+ years of flea marketing. It's a lavabo. You mount it on the wall and wash your hands. But it's milk glass! For you milk glass lovers, you understand my excitement, right?

This is a piece that I brought home -- PINK MILKGLASS! Finally, I have a piece!

And this little sign is wonderful. It reads: Always Wear Your Party Shoes. It's made by Clare Jordan and you have to check out her website to see all of her other vintage signs. They are beautiful.

Another piece of milkglass to add to le collection. It's a little trivet. Cute and functional! A rare combination in my book.
