Today, June 22, is my birthday! I felt like a little kid this morning. I woke up and rather than wearing any ol' humdrum outfit, I wanted to wear a special "birthday" outfit. No, no, heavens no, not my birthday suit, a birthday outfit. I chose my orange JCrew bow skirt and a ruffle-y pink button-up shirt with fabric shoes. Color just makes anything fun.
I arrived at work and found my cubicle completely decked out in pink and orange decor. How fitting! I matched my cube!
Even better, my co-worker, and more importantly friend, Wendy went to Continental Bakery/Chez Lulu and got me a whole box of orange and strawberry macarons! Even the macarons match! Plus she got me a lovely book appropriately titled "I Heart Macarons." You can imagine the sheer pleasure I had reading my little macaron book while devouring my very own macarons. What's better than a macaron for breakfast? I simply can't imagine.
