Grayton Love

Grayton Beach was, in a nutshell, fabulous. The sun, sand, weather, cocktails, company - everything was wonderful.

The weekend began with a world-famous mojito from "Moe" at Bud and Alley's in Seaside. Love smelling AND tasting mint at the same time. Perfect start to a vacation.

Next day began with breakfast at Great Southern Cafe in Seaside. Here are Audrey and Kathryn.

For breakfast, I chose the Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict with Creamy Gouda Cheese Grits. Everyone deserves a cholesterol splurge every once in a while, right? I also dashed some of the homemade hot sauce on my plate.

Post breakfast, we headed straight to the beach. Not a cloud in the sky, just a bit of seaweed to navigate.

We swam.

We buried Wes in the sand.

We bathed in the outdoor shower (only the boys) It's in the bottom right hand corner. I think it was originally intended to wash the sand off after the beach, but the boys seemed to enjoy being surrounded by nature.

We kayaked. That small, yellow dot is Kathryn in the kayak. By the way, this is the view of the lake from the house.

Another view from the house

We ate out. Cafe 30A was delicious.

Here's the bellini martini.

I ordered the snapper with succotash. Now that I think about it, I think I ordered the same thing from this trip, too.

Those are all the pictures. Hope you all had wonderful weekends too!
